The Walt Disney Company, in partnership with the French government, developed a phased 5,000 acre (2,023 hectare) new town. An overall streetscape concept was developed for the entire project. ima’s principles provided the landscape architecture concept and schematic design for the project’s first phase was presented to the French government for completion.

This included the 500 acre (202 hectares) resort containing several destination hotels designed by some of the leading American architects including Frank Gehry, Robert Stern, Antoine Predock, and Robert Venturi.

A 100 acre (40 hectare) lake was created as a focal point for the resort and a unifying sense of place for the entire resort’s diverse architecture. The lake is surrounded by a beautiful tree-lined promenade.
